Triple diamond ram error problem and more

Hi all.. thanks again for help with other machines in the past.  I just bought a triple diamond s 2000  it powers on and lights work and I hear the dollar bill validator cycle. First it goes to ram error message and a loud beep or horn from the speaker.  I turned the jackpot key and each time get the next error message until the last message says to close the door.. which I do and then just stays at that

Here are some pictures of the board.. looks like some corrosion. Could that cause those messages though?  Seems like the machine was subjected to some humidity

It is not sensing the door being closed.
Are you sure the latch is all the way down and the optics are correctly aligned?
Take a picture of the mpu is the green Varta battery still installed? Is there evidence of battery leakage damage on the board in that area?

I would say the board is toast that is severely damaged from battery leakage. You could try removing the green Varta and throw it away then clean the bad areas of the board with a mild solution of vinegar and water.
I doubt it will bring that board back to life.
Suggest getting a new mpu and transfer your chips to the new board. Also if the new board still has the green battery on it remove it

Thanks. It does sound like not reading the door closed.  The latch is down but I'll check the optics... I was afraid the board may not be good.  Do you know where I can get a replacement? And exactly which one?

If your reels are back lit you will probably want what's known as a 504 board other 500 series boards will have issues with hum coming through the speakers as I see it also has a multi media board so I would recommend a 504. Try member Jim or Ohio gaming for a replacement.

Yes they appear to be backlit... And there is a hum coming from the speakers even now... I checked the door optics appear to line up... Disconnected it and held them together still nothing.  Is there a way to bypass it?

There are instructions on how to bypass the optics in
the s2000 section on this site but I'm not a big fan of doing that 90% of the time it the mpu board or the alignment of the optics. In your case you can be pretty sure it's the mpu. That is what goes bad when the battery corrodes the traces right off the surface of the board.

A 504B MPU is what you want, not a 504A or anything older

Do I just swap all the chips from my original to the new one including the multimedia part? Will I need to do anything else or is it plug and play?
