I have recently been perusing Alibaba.com as a source of inexpensive Chinese goods manufacturers for my other busines interests.  Just out of curiosity, I did a search for Chinese slot machine manufacturers and if I read the listings correctly, they are knocking out brand new WMS and Aristocrat machines at very low prices.  I'm not sure what shipping costs are from China to the US, but their webpage is amusing to look at:

They do not run original software.  They are basically "POG" cabinets that use their own multi-game boards with "clones" of popular games.  Kind of like the POG game board with life of luxury (which to this day, I don't get the popularity of that game that is now nearly 20 years old!)

Wouldn't the cabinet similarity piss off Aristocrat, WMS, and IGT? Of course, there's probably nothing they could do about this I assume?

Yes, they are illegal clones (they copy the graphics and gameplay and use their own development platform to play them).  The problem is that in China, international intellectual property gets copied all the time and sold at a profit and the Chinese  Gov't could give a crap.  All those cabinets you see are just mass produced wooden cabinet with POG style hardware.  Then you just buy their "boards" and you have a gaming device that plays similar to the original game, but obviously has regular push buttons instead of the iDeck or oled buttons.

I wonder who they would sell to?  If I understand correctly, American casinos can't put a machine of their floor until the system is vetted by the Gaming Control board in their state, and vendors work closely with those boards to ensure they are satisfied with their machines.  I'm sure other countries have similar rules. I can't see that happening with Chinese machines having Chinese operating systems.
