door removal molex connectors

Does someone have a strategy for removing the molex connectors so the door can be removed?  Bally EM.  It's really hard to get at the back side of the connector to do anything with it.

I use a small flat screwdriver for that back latch. After that it's wiggle wiggle wiggle. Sometimes another very small screwdriver works well as a lever in helping to separate the connectors.

The rectangular holder may be screwed to the door frame.
If so it would be easier to manipulate the plug it the bracket was undone.
Plugs that haven’t been apart for many years can be stubborn.
Just a slight separating with a thin screwdriver should loose it enough to pull apart.

I have the opposite problem with my 1091 "3 coin multiplier." With the door open, looking at the left side (nearest to keyed lock on door), there are two 2 prong Molex Connectors. The male has two heavier black wires that go into a transformer near the coin entry area. No voltage is shown when tested. The female has smaller two wires: solid white and black w/yellow. This connector shows 118V when tested. These Molex connectors appear to be the pair that should be connected....but I am unsure. I don't want to plug them together just to smell smoke and short something out. Photos upon request.email reply to me is requested

Connector for the lamp over the reels.
Connecting the plug should light up the lamp over the reels.
If something is wrong, it will blow the fuse.
There is a possibility the transformer was heating up, thus the disconnect.
Proceed with caution.
Reassemble and monitor for any malfunctions.

Hello David Lee,    Thanks for the quick response. The fluorescent light that illuminates the three reels is already on. Here's what I did: There is another adjacent set of two prong Molex connectors that I connected to the fluorescent light. Of this second Molex connector, the male with the heavier two black wires goes directly to the left side of the fluorescent light. The other two smaller diameter wires showed 30VAC in the female Molex connector. One wire is red with yellow, the other is white with brown. I connected this 2 wire, 30 volt Molex to the fluorescent light realizing that my choice was it or the 118 volt connector. Since the fluorescent light illuminated satisfactorily, I did not try the 118 Volt plug.
    Should the 118 Volt female Molex connector be connected to the fluorescent light instead of the 30 Volt?    Am I allowed to give my email on this forum or to send you a photo of the door?

Okay, there are one or two fluorescent lamps behind the belly glass.
If everything is working, I would like to see the photos of the door.
As the plugs on my machine next to the lock operates the reel lamp.
But some machines have a little lamp behind the horizontal metal covers.
Where it says play 1 to 3 coins or the payout schedule is located.
