IGT 044 Superstar Poker bizaare loading issue

I have a strange issue that just started happening. First, I have 2 IGT 044 17" Upright Game Kings (1-LCD, 1-CRV). I have Superstar Poker, Game King 6.4, and a legacy board, all 3 loaded on separate CPUs, all have their own saved and set up micro eproms that load into the motherboard. These have been great for swapping games easily whenever needed.


Up until last week, I have had the legacy board CPU and the GK CPU loaded in both machines at any given time, never an issue, still have none. The Superstar Poker I had only ever loaded into the LCD machine, but I had a bug or something up my butt and wanted to test it in the CRV, worked fine. I pulled it out and put it back into the LCD and kept getting the eeprom error. I go to keychip it and it will not go past the "please wait while loading process completes".


Now, I can load the other CPUs in the LCD machine as I always have and they load and work fine. I also can load the Superstar Poker into the CRV machine and it works fine (it just looks like crap, CRV). I tried putting back into the LCD machine and the same errors occur.


Has anyone else run into this, or have any ideas of what to try?

You have the eeprom that you remove from the motherboard and install on the cabinets as you swap the mpus?  If that's the case do a key and clear on the cabinet that works and then move it over to the lcd cabinet to see if that will fix the issue.

No go. That was a good idea. I keyed and cleared it on the CRV machine, it worked fine. Moved it to the LCD and still the same repeating eeprom error. I even tried using a new micro eprom for the motherboard and still the occurs for keying and loading.

To close this out, I found the problem. The female input of the LCD machine's motherboard micro eprom has a thin crack that runs between the 4 import connections and the edge. When I was reinstalling the eprom, the bottom teeth were missing the connections and going into the crack. The port is not cracked on the other machine, hence it worked fine. I tried getting a pic of the issue but could get a clear one to come out.
