BB1 setup need help

Hi everyone,


I need help with a BB1 setup, the diagnostic button is not responding and I cannot set up the game.  Does anyone know what came loose?  The attendant key does work and it does show the standard setup needed.

Things I have already done, but still didn’t correct the problem;
1. Replaced the door switch
2.  Changed CPU
3.  Changed the Backplane
4.  Checked if all wires are connected.
5.  Cried out for help

Is your main door switch open?  I don't seen the Open Door M message on the screen.  If the main door is closed, the setup button does not work.

Yes, the main door is open, it was indicated at the bottom of the screen.

Does the game finish loading?  On bb1's the game has to totally load before it is setup (there's a progress bar as the game loads).

No, it did not.  Halfway it ask for denomination setup, I couldn’t go any further.  I tried resetting it and clearing the EPROM without any luck.

I assume you have the SPN hardware for the button and the dual screen setup?  It should load, even if it doesn't have those, but I've never tried loading it without all the proper hardware.  Do you have 512MB of ram and bios 2000 on that MPU?

I do have a dual screen, but I’m not sure if it does have a  SPN hardware.  maybe there’s a cut wire somewhere or a plug not connected or pushed in properly, I’ll go get my microscope to find it.

SPN hardware is the "extra  bet" button.  If the game doesn't have it, it won't work, although I am not sure if it stops the loading process like it is doing.
