BB2/3 Won’t start or Clear

Hello all,


I have a BB2/3 running a NXT 3.2 that randomly stooped working.  Now when it starts all I get on the main screen is “no signal” (see picture).  Tried to clear the machine but no luck. I replaced the 2 coin batteries thinking that might be the issue but still no luck.


Could it be that the video board went bad?

Video card most likely, try removing it a reseating it. I had an issue like that and it fixed, no problems since.


Also, make sure the cpu is locked down tight to the backplane with the lever.

make sure the extra power harness is in good.  I've had issues with that occasionally when I switch between bb2 and bb3 mpu's.

Got it fixed. I reseated the video board but that wasn’t it.  Ultimately exercised the back plane board connectors and that resolved the issue.  Might have to insert the connectors several times to insure reliability.
