BV Comm Failure

I have an S2000 that I have not played in a while. Everything worked great last time I played. Now when I fire it up I get no BV start (MEI) and got BV comm failure. I pulled the MPU and checked the battery. 2.9 volts. Reinserted the MPU. Still no BV and now I have open door b and closure m but no BV comm failure. Machine won't do anything. I am using an enhanced board. Honestly, I have not done any tech work on my machines in quite some time so memory fades.... Any ideas? BTW, I did pull a different MEI head and install it in this machine with the same results. Thanks in advance. Ian

Sounds like the BV door is not closed tight.  (open door b) May be a good time to bypass the switch.

Switch is already bypassed. I pulled the head again and cleaned the contact "Nintendo style" and pulled all of the BV plugs and reconnected them. Bam! I get BV power up but still no BV light once the machine finishes booting. Open door b and closure m are gone. Just no working BV at this point.

Try netplex auto-config.  I have had to reinsert the interface board before too.
