reel motor for strange slot

Not sure if this is a WTB or a WTF.
Got a 3 reel machine in with a bad, 1st reel, stepper motor.
The electronics is behind the tall top glass and it is marked with Japanese text and the boards are mounted in a plastic case.
The game takes quarters, does not have a joystick, and has a standard coin hopper and a handle.
I'm trying to find a replacement stepper motor for the first reel. Swapping the motors around results in the #1 motor being defective.
Someone had previously removed the motor and disassembled it to "clean" it.
Any help would be appreciated. No Mfg. name or placard on the game.
