My S+Locks up for a hand pay on small hits. Have to use reset key all the time. Thank you..Tom

With no credits on the machine use the test switch and rake it to 7 and there you will find that
You can change with the spin button and move with the jackpot reset key

Tried it but no change. The bell still goes off on any hit. I set it for 300 coins, but it is not keeping it in memory. Did I miss a step in the programming ?

From what I remember dip switches 1-4 have to be off. Sorry it has been awhile

Dips 1 & 2 off = 300 credit limit

Dips 1 & 2 on = programmable in option 7

Also, try tapping the credit/cash button to change from cash to credit. The bell may be set to ring on all hits.

The jackpot bell going off on all hits is an option separate from hopper limits. I believe that it can be set for all wins (annoying), or just the top 2 awards.
If you go to the download section - download R273's setup sheet - he decodes most of the options that make it easy to change settings (certainly easier than reading a PSR sheet).

Can't find any dip switches on this board. Tried resetting for hours. Still can't get it to not lockup and ring as a Jackpot... I may not be accessing the programming sequence correctly. I think I need step by step programming instructions regarding the Jackpot issue. Thanks ..Tom

I have attached the previously mentioned "for rookies" Excel spreadsheet by R273. While SP1145 isn't specifically on that sheet, the instructions for SP1271 or SP1274 (look at the tabs on the bottom of the sheet to switch between them) closely match the setup for your SP1145.

The PSR for your SP1145 is too large to attach here -- check your e-mail, as I've sent it to your registered e-mail address with the NLG forum.

You'll note that your SP chip features separate settings for hopper limit, jackpot limit, credit limit, and bill acceptor credit limit. Assuming your machine is set up for home use, I would suggest setting all four of those limits to 9,999.

Use the attached and e-mailed documents to follow along, but just to spell out what you need to do:

- Ensure there are zero credits on your machine. Play off or cash out any credits before continuing.

- Open the door and press the white "self test" button approximately 12 times, until the number 7 appears in the Coins Played display -- the number 1 should appear in the Credits display. This is the Hopper Limit adjustment.
- Use the jackpot reset keyswitch to move between digits in the Winner Paid display, and use the "Spin Reels" button to adjust the value of the flashing digit. Suggested to change this to 9999.

- Press the "self test" button once, and the Credits display should advance to 2. You are now at the Jackpot Limit adjustment.
- Use the jackpot reset keyswitch to move between digits in the Winner Paid display, and use the "Spin Reels" button to adjust the value of the flashing digit. Suggested to change this to 9999.

- Press the "self test" button once again, and the Credits display should advance to 3. You are now at the Credit Limit adjustment.
- Use the jackpot reset keyswitch to move between digits in the Winner Paid display, and use the "Spin Reels" button to adjust the value of the flashing digit. Suggested to change this to 9999.

- Press the "self test" button once again, and the Credits display should advance to 4 (or possibly go blank per the PSR, although that seems wrong). You are now at the Bill Acceptor Credit Limit adjustment.
- Use the jackpot reset keyswitch to move between digits in the Winner Paid display, and use the "Spin Reels" button to adjust the value of the flashing digit. Suggested to change this to 9999. Note, this limit cannot be higher than the Credit Limit you set in the previous step, nor may it exceed a credit value of $2,500.

- Press the "self test" button one more time. 8 should now appear in the Coins Played display. This is the Partial Pay Amount setting. Ensure that the Winner Paid display shows 0000 (or just 0).

- Close the door, setup is complete.
