To the best of my understanding....

The Cabinet Card that connects to your Backlight Controler Board provides the signals to illuminate the Reel Symbols in a winning combination. This is where the intensity logic is derived from that will provide the bright/dim on/off flashing behind the symbols.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

In your situation,  I would swap that out with a known good one. It may solve your problem.

The picture you just posted up is the cabinet card we're talking about.Go buy a spare one and install it with the power to the machine "OFF"
Never pull or push plugs or anything with the power "ON" or you'll burn out stuff.

It would be easier for you to buy another cabinet card...they are not expensive.
To answer your question, yes I do have an "idea" lol
The cabinet card sends out logic signals to the reel lamp controller from the backplane motherboard which in turn is getting logic signals from the onboard MPU processor... which in turn, controls the voltages the backlight lamps get - on winning reel positions.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken but right now, all we know know from what we see, is that the reel lamp controller circuit board is giving the lamps a dim voltage only.
It may not be getting logic signals from the cabinet card for various reasons, bad card, bad harness, burned or acid-eaten trace on either the backplane board or the MPU.
Heck, you may even have the incorrect lamps stuck in there behind the reels?

The only way to check logic signals is to own a logic probe or an oscilloscope.
You would need to know how to detect logic highs and lows.
If you don't know how to use these test instruments, it would be much easier for you to just go buy a spare cab. I/O card because schematics are not going to help you without the test instruments onboard bench slot technicians own.
Sending out these boards for repair can cost a lot more than they're worth.

XE359 Xenon Bulbs are correct.

You've been given the correct part number for your Cabinet Card, have you verified it is the right one yet?

Put the glass back on your topbox.

Go look at your backlight controller board. (ASSY NO. 7692680)
It has to have the 10-pin header at Loc: [J4] plugged into the harness that goes up to the right-most reel.

The board looks like this below with the cover off.

Bunker's is a 5 reel controller.  Yours is a 3 reel controller.  J4 is optional and is NOT used.

I have no ideal what this means, it makes no sense:

"is there an extra Hannah stocking by to hook it up the top box is that plug has to be there for a reason"

I emailed you a picture two weeks ago when you asked for it.  I also posted it here for another member:

http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=26778.msg140840#msg140840

It clearly shows there is nothing connected to J4, so quit worrying about it.

The door I/O card has nothing to do with the backlit reels, the cabinet I/O card does.

Dude,

What don't you understand about this whole topic?

4 people have told you to swap out your Cabinet Card. Not the MPU, not the Controller, not the Harmess or anything else that you are thinking could be wrong.

Do that then post your results and quit worrying about stuff that doesn't matter!

FORDF150:

You have multiple talented volunteers helping you out.
You're not reading what they ask you to do, thus the problem persists.
Furthermore, your replies are nearly impossible to understand since most sentences are not punctuated, as well as your use of words that make absolutely no sense.
And for some reason, you start sentences with a period. Periods go at the end to show readers that the statement has been made.
(I've actually never seen a thread go 5 full pages for something like this.)
Please read and complete each task they ask you before assuming you know the answer.
Please reply with clear and understandable sentences. We have a spell check here - utilize it.
We all want to see your backlit reels working soon, so please follow their instructions exactly and don't assume it's something different unless they tell you. Thank you.
