Proper settings for S2000 if not using hopper or coin,handling?

I think I have something set wrong on my Double Diamond Deluxe machine. I have removed the hopper & have the coin mechanism plug bypassed with the square plaric molex jumper. I just hit a double double 7 and I'm getting a coin out jam error, is that because I have my limits set too low or maybe something else & will I have to clear the machine to fix the issue? Do I need to set it up to coinless in the set up? What I want to do is be able to hit the cash out button to clear the credits & be able to turn the jackpot reset key to clear the credits

Disable token payout & enable coinless mode. Key chip required. You will have to clear it first to get rid of the current error or stick the hopper back in to let it finish paying.

When you keychip it, you have to set it so that when you hit the cash-out button, the attendant pays out ( reset key).
Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
