Want to Buy Bally S5500 Coin Comparator Harness, Plugs or Pins

Have a Bally S5500 that needs a CC Harness.


If anyone has one they can spare I'd be grateful.


Machine has one spliced in, but has the wires broken off of the pins.


See pictures for correct plug and wire colors.

Bought a bulk lot of IGT harnesses from Ebay. Should be able to make one work with the Bally by re-pinning one.

IGT CC Plugs are quite different, longer pins, larger Connector. So, that didn't solve my problems.


Still looking for Connector Plug or if anyone knows part number of plug and correct pin sizes, I could use that too.


Have the original good connector, so I could re-pin it if someone has or knows part number of the pins.

The plug where it enters the comparitor----is it 5/8 " wide and has 6 holes ?  Should the wires go into the hole on the end, then a blank then a wire then a blank and then a wire . And then a blank ?   Is the plug at the other end have an opening about 3/8 " square ?  Gordy

The plug end of the CC side is roughly 5/8" wide by 3/16" thick and 5/16" deep. Pinned as Gordy stated.


The other end of this short harness is not common to S5500 machines, I believe it originally came from a S+, as the Molex Plug and Receptacle were spliced in.


On my 5500, the Molex is not in-line with the CC wiring.


Here are photos of both ends.


The Molex isn't necessarily needed, I can splice in a new CC Plug providing the wiring length is sufficient, roughly 6 inches.

Could be wrong, but if you take an S+ pig tail and cut the little loop that goes to the terminals you don't use, wouldn't both plugs then work   and the 3 wires would go where they should ?

That's exactly what I was thinking too, but without an S+ available to me at the moment,  it's hard to know for sure. But the little harness that was in this guys Bally sure reminds me of an S+ setup.


I know the S2000 connectors are a different size and won't work on the Bally CC.


With some help and support from some of the other members, I think I'll have what I need to get this thing repaired soon.

I have used S+ CC harnesses many times to replace the harness on the Bally S5500.  I cut the red wire loop on the S+ harness and splice the other end to the three wires that go to the 4-pin plug on the Bally.  Color coding of the Bally wires is usually consistent so if is same as I am used to will connect as follows:


Holding the IGT connector so you can see the openings where the metal pins are visible there should be a black wire in the far left position.  Let’s call this pin #1.  Then there should be a wire in pin #3 and pin #5.  The red wires connect pin #4 to pin #6 (need to cut this connection).


Connect the three wires to the Bally as follows:
Pin #1 to the red/grey wire
Pin #3 to the green/black wire
Pin #5 to the red/white wire


I would give you pin positions for the Bally 4-pin plug but looks like the machine has been modified already to use an S+ 3-wire plug so maybe it already is wired to take S+ Harness directly (after cutting the red loop wire). Hope this helps.
