Bally 785 Money Honey Belly Glass

I’m searching for belly glass for my money honey machine.
Any help , exact originals , weird and wild , any pics or suggestions welcome ( mine is badly cracked )

These were widely used with slight variations in colors.
Shouldn’t be to hard to locate a replacement.

there's a few different ones.  What's the full model number of your game on the plate below the handle?


you can yank the glass and look for numbers on the back side ...  G-350-something

Below the handle on the nameplate it says 785 ZZC .
On the second line it says MHP2118.

That is a VERY common glass.  There are several variations of the Fruit/Bally glass.  There is traditional blue or black background glass that you have. 
Also I have seen a similar design in a burnt orange background style.  The rarest one that I have seen for a game with your reel strips has a portrait picture of the Money Honey Character.


I know someone who has one or all of the aforementioned belly glasses.  PM me if interested.

785-ZZC used G-350-10 sized glass with ID 49.


the schematic is w-1046-851.  Yell if you don't have it.

I dunno what that particular glass looks like.  The glass on my 929 has the numbers printed on the back side, so if you pull yours out you may find them.  Ra may know if there's numbers on the black glasses.


I'll scan the schem in the next few days and look for the other info.  I should have the reel wiper and payout disc diagrams also.

afaik, the 785 models were a progressive game of some sort and would have pinball style number wheels on the top that show the progressive jackpot payout.   The info I have for the 785-ZZC reel tapes also doesn't match your picture.


I would have guessed your machine was some variant of a 742A.  If you look on the slotted metal reel index discs, there should be numbers stamped on them.  Px84-y, where x is [4,5, or 6] and y is some number 1 thru a few thousand.


the 785-ZZC was a 25 stop machine with P-584-39, P-584-40, and P-584-41 on the index discs.


the payout disc used on the 785-ZZC was M-645-118, so you can take a peek at your hopper and see what's in there.

That style of belly glass comes up often on e-bay. Check it out. Also try craigslist or letgo.

my incomplete listing doesn't have a machine that uses your combination of reel index discs, payout counter disc, and black background reel tapes.



in the end, all that really matters is:

- measure the glass you want to replace since there are variations in the size
- the game is probably not a 785-ZZC, so paperwork for that game won't match


except for a model 809-3ZD, everything in my paperwork using those index discs is a variant of model 742A that uses payout disc M-645-96.   The difference is -118 supports a 20 pay and -96 will do a 150 pay.


I see in another thread the money honey symbols pay 18.  That's correct for your machine?


the cabinet top on a 742A is roughly where the handle ball is.  The cabinet top on a 785 or 809 is way above the handle ball due to an upper compartment that held more units and an additional piece of glass.

closest thing I have is info on the 742A-92A (T).   You can find it in http://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/


the main difference is the payouts and I assume a multi-colored/tiered jackpot tower.  Different jackpot pays turn on a different light.


don't know if you have a bell, but you could probably take the schem and erase the lights/bell connections on reel disc 1 and the associated plugs, change the connections from the 200, 150 and 50 pays to your config and the rest may be the same.   


modifying a previous drawing is what bally sometimes did, which is why the fonts are different and some schems have whiteout on them :-)


the 92A machine pays 18 for three money honey symbols scattered anywhere visible, but pays 200 when all three symbols on the payline.  Yours always pays 18?


the schem and other docs show how the MH symbol scatter pay is done by putting the reel wipers on different rivets when a MH symbol is visible.  e.g. on reel 1 the plums adjacent to the MH symbol positions the wipers differently than the other plum symbols on the reel.

Main reel glass missing Bally Corp logo leading me to believe its a kit machine just like mine below, 2nd one is scratched on both sides but will likely fit (15"1/4 W x 8 tall) this machine.

yes no problem, I noticed a Bally glass on Evil bay but the colors are faded.
