when I got this game it was complete but I believe it had the wrong stuff just jammed into it to make it appear complete, correct me if I am wrong, cpu in it  was bad but it was a 300/400mhz mpu........game card was missing but os card in it was a AVOS00000341-05,

I finally got a 1ghz cpu for it, not ssure if its good yet didnt get that far, cpu is missing the bios chip so I will need that and need to know if the os card
i have will work, I do have the correct game card at this point, next question is could I run this game with an older mpu ? I do have another complete, mpu which i am pretty sure is good

Yes, OS 341 will work with either the MPU. Most titles that are 256MB and some 512MB Alpha 1 games will work with both MPUs. Although some of the newer Alpha 1 games will run like crap with the 300mhz MPU. Just find a bios for that 1gig MPU and use that. It will run all the Alpha 1 stuff.

Thanks for that info, I think the vhd image I got is incorrect for this game, when loading it makes it so far and I get an error "can not authenticate" game file or something like that. so other than that it seems everything else I have is all compatible. that 64mb game file is on a 128mb card but that shouldn't make a diff I have seen them on larger ones and worked fine

I believe you need a 64mb CF game card for Alpha1.  Alpha2 games CF card can be any size as long as it's big enough.

All Alpha1 OS authenticate the cards as a whole, so they must reside in the exact same capacity (and OEM Maker) card as the game was originally shipped on.  Alpha 2 installer authenticates contents in the card, so alpha 2 games installed on an alpha 2 mpu will work as long as the card is large enough to hold the image.  But on Alpha 1, you must match image with the correct sized CF card, otherwise you will get the authentication failed issue.  You also cannot use Windows 10 with newer updates because it writes 4 bytes to the boot area as an identifier so it can match the index contents with the card.  Unfortunately for Alpha 1 use, this makes the card fail validation.  It doesn't matter with alpha 2 software to be installed on an alpha 2 platform.
