Single Row Universal Animator Command Timeout
« on: February 11, 2020, 11:15:13 pm »
Need some help  :Scratch-Head:

Trying to setup 2 WMS BB1's , Stroke Of Luck and Reels O'Dublin,,, Reel games with the HOT HOT button. They both have green boards in them, which is near impossible to clear( tried every clear). Finally got one to clear (1851), set the game up and was playing fine.  Grabbed the other one out of storage, went to set it up...would not clear  :duh: . Pulled CPU from first game, put in second, would not clear. Tried both back in first machine, would not clear. Put both boards in another game, they cleared fine, and able to setup and play in 3rd game( and 4th, 5th, 6th,etc). None of the green boards will clear when installed in the first two games.

So I pulled a few boards (blue) out of a few games, and they clear fine and setup in the first two, however, both of them are getting the "Single Row Universal Animator Command Timeout"... As I said, the first one was working a week ago (with green board). I checked for power, all looks good. I replaced every Cat 5 cable. I've been playing with these 2 for a week now.

Any thoughts?

PS, all have the same Bios

the SPN section might be bad on the backplane or the mpu?  Have you tried a different backplane?

Not sure but guessing a RAM clear changes bits on the Jurisdiction chip since it is a (SPI) EEPROM.
If you're having RAM clear problems, try swapping the jurs chip between your blue/green boards ??  Curious if my guess is right.

The animator board, it gets its power from the SPN hub, or if there is no hub you need to feed it power.  Something needs to power the board.

Love BB1 stand alone progressive reel games.

Hope it helps.

I'll give the Jur chip a try.

For the button...

The CAT cable comes off the back board then to the board that the hub that the reels connect to,then to the Spin hub board mounted to the left of the reels(has a flashing red light on board). Then to the door hub, then to the board under the spin button.

PS, ignore any disconnected cables
