You say you changed the switch out to a known good one.  Did you check to make sure they were the same type?  The side of the switch will indicate the function of each pin, do they match.  Other than that, according to the wiring diagram I have the door switch hooks up to pins 1-6 on the backplane. You can use a voltmeter to check continuity from that J10 connector on the harness to the pins on the switch.  I'm done here.

Continuity is good on those wires to the switch & the switch itself is working fine, is there a 2nd main door switch I'm not aware of?

When the bill door is pressed against that tab, it closes a switch behind it.

"Cherry" is the name of a company that makes switches....there are several different kinds.

Did you know that you can test it by using the tests in the menu?

Yes I've tried the test of the main door switch in the cabinet I/O menu & it's still not registering

But the tab in your picture is the bill validator switch....not the main door switch.

Well I can't seem to find the problem then. I changed the cherry switch & the continuity is fine on my meter when I press the switch. Can I bypass that switch somehow just so I can get the game to play?

Problem solved. It ended up not having anything to do with the main door switch. Seems that when I transported the machine to my house that the vibration from the ride caused the main CPU & the back plane to become a little loose. I pushed them back together & the game booted right up after that. Thanks for all the help guys & I apologize for jumping ahead on some comments but my daughter was driving me crazy so she could play it & I got in a hurry

Glad to hear you got it going!I was suspicious of the CPU being loose once you told me that the machine was transported via PM's and  phone texting.

That's why I asked ya to check the black lever under the CPU to see if it was hooked onto the wall tab.

Most people lay down the machines on their backs and the shaking around causes stuff to get loose sometimes.
