Bb2 5 reel to dual monitor

Hi guys i am new to the wms bb2 machines and am attempting my first mod to my bb2 goldfish 2 machine. I am swapping over the top plastic aquarium with a 22" monitor and swapping my transparent 5 reel screen for a touch screen. My questions are once i get screens swapped what do i need to clear the machine and load a new game, and also looking for recommendations on new games to try out.

1851 works faster and seems to be the preferred one lately.  1810 works as well.

Update on my project, i have cleared my machine with a 1810 card loaded a new game with matching os and am now stuck on the following screen in posted pic. I also believe i am missing a cable for my touch screen conversion,  i have the dvi, and 12v power cable connected but do not know how the touch screen communicates. Any advice is much appreciated thanx in advance.

It is copying the cf game image to the hard drive.  That is what the imgsvc does.  It takes a bit to do so, depending on the game and OS.  The older OS versions take a bit longer,  also if you don't have an OEM card, the game load takes longer as well.

Thanks for the reply rick. How long do u think it should take i have left the machine on about a hour with no change. I have been reading up and i think i am missing the serial touch cable for the monito but cant find a pic to compare and see if i have one.

It should not be an hour, I would try a different OS.  I believe the game you are trying to load (I love lucy is it?) uses family H9.xx. I would use SSG1490 for that.  Also as far as the touchscreen cable, you need to see if there's a cable connecting the backplane's touchscreen port (top left on the backplane, it is actually labeled).  Since you had a transmissive screen, the touchscreen cable out of that connects directly to this port, so you may not have the cable that connects it to the side distribution plate, or if you are lucky, it is tucked away unplugged.  Look for this cable.  The touchscreen connector on the backplane is purple colored I believe if you have the blue backplane (which you probably do).  If there's nothing plugged there, look for a matching cable hidden along the left side that is unplugged, I don't remember if the plug is purple on that as well, I would have to look at my cabinet to confirm.  If you have that cable, then you just need a straight through 6 pin micro fit cable from the the side distribution panel to the main monitor, if you don't a cable needs to be made to go from the backplane molex mini fit to the monitor's microfit plug.

BTW, I don't think the system will freeze or lockup without the touch cable connected.
