Triple Diamond S+ Mechanical audit meter reset

Is there any way to reset back to zero the mechanical audit meters (Jackpots and Games played)that are inside the cabinet on the right side?   Triple Diamonds S+ slot.

I don't believe there is.  Most of us just unplug the harness to those noisy things at the motherboard, no jumper required.

You would have to completely disassemble each mechanical meter to do that.

I've done it....believe me, it's NOT worth it.

The pawls inside wear out anyways....rendering the solenoid-driven plastic drum pawls inaccurate as hell.

Best to disable them as six suggested and use the internal accounting system.

Thanks for the replies,  I was hoping there was a hidden reset button somewhere.  I'll just leave them as is unless they start causing problems or get noisy.  Will the clear chip reset the internal accounting system, or is there a way to do it with the settings button and jackpot key?

Nope...there's no other way to clear the internal accounting system unless you use a clear chip BUT...
the clear chip will erase everything...including the bill validator settings.
So if you want to use the DBV, you will need the proper SET chip as well.
That is determined by what SP chip is installed on the MPU.
There are tons of info on NLG on how to find this for S+'s.

I'm not too concerned about having to reset everything, but since I just wanted to reset the counters for the fun of it (track how much we used the slot vs. Jackpots since we got the slot) I don't think it would be worth the effort.  Thanks for all the useful info though.

I marked this as "solved" even though the solution is, "you can't."

The meters are designed to be lifetime meters. If you want to use their data, you could simply start a log either on paper or an Excel spreadsheet with your starting (current) numbers, and do some basic math (or have Excel do it for you) to determine how much the matters have moved since you started recording them.

My questions were answered, so I agree it was "solved".  Thanks for the suggestion.  I think I will set up an Excel spreadsheet to track how the different win lines payout over time.  Something to do while stuck at home!
