Konami Nordic Quest keeps hitting progressive anyway to mod?

Hey guys! I am new here and have had my Konami Nordiq Quest slot machine for a few years. When I turned it on after the winter it now just hits the progressive over and over again and wont stop, is there anyway to fix this? This brings me to my second question, is there a way to mod these multiline machines to put other games on them as well? Curious of all the answers you guys have! Hope everyone is staying safe out there!

No way to stop the progressive, it is just volatility, unusual as it is, that is just the nature of the RNG.  Any standard game cabinet made by a manufacturer can have any game installed on it as long as it was designed for the same platform.  If it is a video titles, you just need the software, for stepper reels, you will need the reel strips and the software.  Some of us don't care if the glass/plexi artwork matches the game being played (although for stepper reel games that need the graphics to display the paytable, you kind of need it, unless the paytable is displayed on an LCD scree), if you want the machine to look factory, then you will also need the corresponding graphic inserts/glass/plexi to match the theme.

I know it is supposed to be random but what I am saying is that it is malfunctioning and just hitting the progressive over and over again you cant even place a bet it just hits progressive everytime you hit spin lol...... So like the slot I have is called Nordic Quest and I think it's from around 2008 and it has the game in the DVD drive in the top, so you are saying I could possibly get another disc from konami around the same time frame and it should work?

It is usually more than just a CD, there's usually other eproms and chips that go along with it.  I'm not familiar with konami slots, but for all other manufacturers, it is a common to have more than just a single piece to the software.

I just got my first Konami and setup the progressive on it per the how to instructions at the top of this forum. 


Did you reset ram by chance after the winter break?  Do you remember resetting percentages?


On my Konami k2v, you have to pick first the normal game percentages, and than ALSO the progressive percentages.  These progressive percentages should be LOW, like 1-3percent low. 


I got my progressive chips and setup normal, but realky wanted to confirm the progressive would hit.  So I reset ram and changed the progressive percentages to really high (90%).  I got it almost every spin.  I was happy, and put it back to low.


That sounds like your condition.  Did you by chance change your settings?
