27C16 DIP EEPROM

Looking to buy some of these for my GK 3902 preferrably flashed already (if possible). I also need some for GK 044 (preferably flashed already). I understand these (for 044) may be different than the EEPROM for 3902

Game Kings with a 3902 board do not have 27C16 EEPROMs.  I think you're referring to the backplane EEPROM?  It's a 24C16.  It doesn't have any game software stored on it, just some of the data from the game and machine.  It's unique to the MPU board so one from another machine will not work in yours.  If you're looking for game software it uses EPROMS and SIMM cards. 

044 MPUs use a flash board (or a legacy adapter board for running 3902 software) to store game software.  It uses a 24C256 EEPROM on the motherboard, but again it's unique to the machine and is not the game software, just data stored that the game software uses.

I did not make that clear what so ever. yes I need the 8 pin EEPROM for the motherboard to hold the data for the game(s). I need some for both the 3902 and 044. I would like them flashed also

Ok.  You want 24C16'a for 3902 games and 24C256 for 044 games.  You don't program (flash) them though, your game software will write what it needs to it when it is installed in your machine.

Ok, got it. Do you have these or know where to get them? I had tried that on some extra 8 pin EEproms I had and it did not work (eeprom error) Must have been the wrong eeprom.  Really hard to read number on the extra ones I have. I will look again. Sorry I am not in tune with this stuff. Info for this is lacking as far as I can tell.

It's normal to get an EEPROM error when you install a new one on the motherboard.  You have to turn the jackpot reset key a couple of times and follow the on screen instructions. 

What are you trying to accomplish?

I want to have the 8 pin plug on back plane (data / setting) for each game so I don't have to re-chip when changing games. I have this already for a number of games but not for a couple of new games i purchased. I tried to get the seller to provide the 8 pin eeprom but no luck. I know about turning the Jackpot key but it would get stuck at Initializing the system (this was with extra 8 pin eeproms I had which are probably wrong pieces). When I use the 8 pin from a game already set up with 8 pin I can get game to work and hold data after clearing all first of course. This chews up data for a previous set up game and has me clearing games more than I want to.

They should do it for then.  Just wanted to make sure you weren't expecting something they couldn't do.
