The sticks I tried didn't work.  I'm not exactly sure if they weren't compatible or if they had something wrong with them.  I am going to order some from amazon.  I am seeing ram sticks with different pin numbers and voltages and some say "Non ECC".  This is the description of the sticks I would like to purchase.  Please let me know if any of the specs for these RAM sticks are incompatible:

I don't think ram is going to cause the issue you are having.  Ram either works, or it doesn't.  If RAM is bad, you get all kinds of red screen and random reboots. Doesn't cause hiccups like your machine.  I would be more inclined into looking at what topgun suggested.  What os version do you have?  You can get it by turning jackpot reset key and hitting version-packages-system.  Post a screen shot of that and we can figure out what OS you have.  I'm leaning toward the solution posted earlier.

Yep the os change on my machine that my buddy suggested solved all lagging issues and now runs smoothly

I know this is old guys but I do have a question for wilm245 & topgun911,

Could you check on your machine in the versions page and see what OS you have in it?

Getting this topic solved would be awsome help for future AVP owners that come here for help.
