Aristocrat Helix GEN8 - Game change

Hello everybody,


i hope you could help.


Right now i own a Viridian WS but i'am about to get a Helix (GEN soon.


My question is about how to do a game change. I know from my Viridian WS that i will only need a setup CF card to install a new game (consisting of CF + SIM card).
Will that procedure be the same for the Helix? I ask, because i have heard that there is a kind of config stick/card and/or BIOS card installed on the GEN8-CPU.
So will each game require a special BIOS card or will a special config stick be required to do a game change on a Helix? Or will it be the same procedure like with my Viridian WS??...which would be the best

Same as the mk7
The only thing different you will need is the set cf.You will need a newer version for the newer programs.
DONT mess with the config stick under the board!
If you do you can make the board unusable.

Right now i use a version 7.02.58.01


I guess it is quite new. Could i use it for GEN 8?

Each game has specific requirements based on the OS that is used by the game. Your current version should work for most games.  The CF cards used in Helix are CFAST cards, so if you don't have a CFAST setchip card, you will need to obtain one.

The set program i have is stored on a "normal" cf-card. But i will try to copy the file on a CFast - card. I hope that will work....?
