S2000 won't take in bills

I have a machine with a JCM Sentry bill acceptor that has the small LEDs at the bottom with $1-$100. The $1 is lit up orange & the rest of the denoms are lit up green. Takes a bill in & sends it back out, is there a way I can clear this so it will take Bill's? Thanks in advance. It has worked just fine before on this machine so this is a new issue. No error messages showing in the front window & it does cycle when I turn the machine on

The number lit in orange just shows that the last bill that was inserted was a $1 bill.


The Sentry Smart Bezel will illuminate different icons if there is a fault with the validator. If the ambulance or eye aren't lit, then everything should be game ready.


Is the insert bills message on the bezel lit with scrolling lights behind it? That's basically the same thing as the bezel lights coming on when the validator is ready.


If the Smart Bezel thinks everything is good to go, then the problem most likely is in the bill path. I'd open it up, clean the optics, check the belts ect. and make sure the bill path is not obstructed.
