MEI bill acceptor green light blinking and don’t accept bills

Is there anything I can do to fix this problems my self?


The IGT s 2000 machine works perfect with this problem but accept coins only.


I also have Installed the jmc sentry intelligent Bezel that has a blue blinking light and sometimes when I turn the
machine on has a red light blinking hammer..


I have pictures if that will be needed 😊

You can't use a JCM sentry bezel with an MEI bill validator.

The century bezel has been working perfectly for several years with the MEI so I know it works together..


Any other options maybe?

Here you can see that the key is red and the ambulance blinking blue.

The sentry bezel is indicating a fault with the cash box.

Really!!! That's news to me!!!  Learned something new today!!!

I tried to take out the cash box and back again, then removed the Mei bill acceptor and installed it again and
now only the blue (ambulance) light blinks..


If I now remove the cash box the red key goes back on..

When you close the door the blue ambulance light should clear. If it doesn't, something else is wrong. Wire connection problem or something wrong with the bill validator ?

It don’t accept bills to tickets but besides that the machine works just fine. It worked perfect couple of days ago.

Please clarify.  Are you saying that the bill acceptor used to take bills and tickets ? Did it stop accepting bills and tickets when you installed the sentry bezel ?

No the sentry bezel was installed before this happened, and they have been working perfect together

Is the blue light on ? If it is, there is a bill acceptor tilt. How the machine responds to the tilt depends on the menu setting 3.3.3 (Bill Tilts). Your machine is probably set to ignore it, but there is a problem. Check all the wiring and connections, including where the sentry bezel harness passes near the door hinge. Be sure there's no damage.


If the blue light is off, no tilts,  and the bill acceptor just ignores bills, check the menu to verify the bill validator is installed (3.3.1). Check the bill/voucher limit to be sure it's not set to 0 (3.1.4).

After I went thru all the cables and contacts I started look in the menu and found out that the machine was set to 3000 bill limit and I had 3500 credits 🙈


Problem solved and everything works as it did all the time!
