S+ Flashing Candle Door Switch Problem?

Have S+ Double Triple.  When I close the door everything resets, reels rotate, then bottom candle flashes.  Winner paid flashes 20 and credits flashes 1 along with flashing candle.  I believe bottom candle flash indicates door switch problem.  Micro switch on bill acceptor is jumpered.  There is no belly door switch.  I went to self test 13 and with door open LED indicates 13-0.  Then I close the door the LED constantly alternates 13-0 and 13-1.  I thought with door closed the LED would go to solid 13-1, not constantly alternate -0 and -1.  Any idea what is going on?  I can't play anything in this error (flashing candle) condition.  BTW, the door switches are aligned properly.

The flashing stops once a game is played.

Thanks for the info.  I couldn't get a game to play.  It was rejecting my coins, and when I put a bill in it immediately cashed it out in coin.  Not sure, but I made a change in the Bill Acceptor Pay Mode and it seemed to resolve the problem.  Not sure, but it's working now!

make sure the coin comparator sensitivity control is turned fully counterclockwise.
