61 Error Persists, I Think I Need Clear & Set Chips

Hi there,
I bought a S+ series slot machine that had a 12 error. So I changed the battery. Now I'm getting a 61 error. I pressed the Self Test button for 2 to 3 second. The screen goes blank, then 61 re-appears. I swear I got it to go 61_1 once, but have not been able to repeat this.


Turning the Jackpot key gives me various numbers. I'm not sure what they mean.


But from what I've read here it sounds like I may need a clear and set chip set to fix the 61 issue? I do have a JCM bill acceptor.

I have the same issue.  Did you get it resolved?  I'm trying not to use the clear and reset solution as many on the site have discouraged.

If you're stuck in the 61 loop the ram clear and set chip for a bill acceptor has to be used.
