Here's a warning about ordering from this company....or maybe it's two companies.  They apparently go by at least two different names.

Placed an order online for a used part.  $156.  They charged my credit card and I waited more than 2 weeks for the part which didn't arrive.  I called and was told they would be shipping soon.  Almost a week later I called again and was told they don't have the part to sell me, so I was given the option to wait until they locate the part, or they would refund my money.  I asked to talk to the owner before they refunded my money, but they wouldn't let me talk to him.  What kind of company sells a part then tries to find a good one to fulfill the order?  Avoid this company!

I finally did get a refund on my credit card, but it took almost a month.

I agree. Avoid this company. I tried calling a few times to inquire about a couple of slot machines. The caller ID said their name but they never picked up. Also emails and website were to no use. Something fishy about the way they post their ads.

L. A. Slot Machine Co. is one of the largest used gaming machine companies in the world. They are located in California near the port of Long Beach. They claim to ship 10,000 slots a year which go out in shipping containers to all over the world. They maintain 4 warehouses locally. This is the majority of their business. Though they advertise sales of slot machines and parts to the general public, they are sadly lacking. I made several purchases from them without any issues, however it sometimes seems they have no used part inventory. It seems nothing is in stock. Maybe they make a sale then go to the warehouse and strip the part off a machine. Their customer service is lacking. I think sales to the public is something they give a very low priority to and just don't care. I only did business with them because they are close to me. I wish they put more emphasis into part sales as they probably have a wealth of hard to find parts. I would love to get a peek into their warehouses. Note the attachment I found on their website.

Larry, the owner, is a good guy but he is not a fan of the home user.  They are a pain in the ass as he says.  Does not want to deal with them because he says he can not nor will not provide tech support.  They used to have a young parts guy dedicated to the home user but he decided to go elsewhere and they never replaced him.  I can contact Larry and he will sell me a part I need but that is a rare occurrence.  They do have games and occasional parts on ebay though.  Best to contact them though ebay and they will list an item.......sometimes :24: :24:

I also have dealt with Larry several times years ago. Never had an issue with him but I didn't expect to get new minty parts at used part prices. He also told me he wasn't a fan of most home part sales, just wasn't worth the hassle.

They also bother to never update their online store on what's in stock and what isn't. ordered Quick Hit Wild Blue but they didn't have it according to an email I recieved but I got Wild Red instead which was okay, same paytable and game just different color.

Everything that I got looked okay until I saw the reel strips... dirty, sticky, and creases on the ends  :hissyfit:, and reel 3 and 4 had the white backlit material peeled off on the cherry symbol halfway.  :banghead: Plan on replacing the strips soon but they will do for now.

---

Another time I bought from them was when I got Bally Alpha reels instead of putting all 5 in one box they put 3 in one and 2 in the other and ofc they didn't arrive on time at once. (USPS being USPS) The basket on one of them wasn't even put on right hence why at first the strips weren't lining up with the paytables so a stripped tight screw and a frustration later... got it working!

NLG is now why I resorted to buying my kits for my Alpha and other parts when someone has them, everyone here is patient, helpful, and kind.

I finally did get a refund on my credit card, but it took almost a month.

I’ve had the same problem with SMU, Spin, and Gett. Spin let me know quickly and refunded my money, SMU took about a month of going back and forth before they realized they didn’t have the part and refunded me, and Gett told me about a week later that the parts weren’t available and asked if I wanted a refund or go on the waitlist. I’ve been on the waitlist since the end of October, and they still have the items listed on their website.
I’ve ordered a few items from Larry on eBay, not knowing it was this company and his stance on home users, but I haven’t had any issues. I assume the items he is selling on eBay are so old that casinos wouldn’t be interested, so he has to rely on home users.
