Universal 8116 A2 coin comparitor issue

My first slot machine, I may have bit off more Han I can chew lol but I plan on saving this relic as it was from the Sands and I feel that it’s a part of history.
I have several problems that I’m going to tackle one at a time. I have error codes if 13 and 50. My door mechanism was in pieces when I brought it home so I will get to that later. My first priority is getting coins to go in and out. I just got a hopper off eBay for quarters. I don’t know how to test it, it doesn’t turn when I power on. That would be my 2nd issue.
The big I e is that I am trying to get the comparitor to work, I don’t know how to test it or tell if it even powers on. There is one green wire that is not plugged in.....should I plug it in?

I pulled out the white plug and put some electrical tape on the door sensors and the red light on the comparitor lights up....I’m still unsure about that green wire.

I see there is a toggle switch on the inside of door near the comparitor. Did you try turning it to the opposite position to see if it changes anything? I will have to see what the pinout is on my machines comparitor. Your pictures are small and dark . Can you post better pics?

I looked at the wiring on my machine and it has only 2 wires connected to the comparitor.  Blue wire at the bottom 6th pin connection and a Purple connected at the 4th pin down.

I THINK I got it working.....a combination of pulling the white buttons out, taping the door optics and flipping a weird switch on the inside of the door powered it up....I was stumped so I just started pushing buttons out of frustration lol.


Turns out it was a toggle switch on the inside of the door I’ve never seen one before and I still have no idea why it’s there.....
