Double Diamond Manual Needed

I have a 1998 Double Diamond Model # 96418800.  When I received it, it was misdiagnosed but this type of machine is new to me.  I am really in need of the Manual/Manuals so I can follow the wire diagrams along with boards.  Hopefully then I will be able to get this thing up and running.

For the record it is an S2000 vision machine.

I am new to the Slot Machine world, how do you know that?  All I have is the Plate on the side.

I did get the power to the machine up and running but still running into new problems.  it seems that both the Main door and the Bill Collector door are not registering closed, according to the test i ran they are opening and closing (1 to 0).  Can I wire them so I don't need the magnetic security?

The theme and video screen in the center of the machine are a dead give away that this is an IGT Vision.

They use door optics, not magnetics and they are PCM (Pulse Code Modulated) to ensure that the optics can not simply be blinded/faked out by a bright light.


Technically you could by pass the door optics but its not as simple as twisting two wires together.
One of the easier ways is to disconnect the optics in the door is to use a long set of wires to bring the optics back to the housing and pair the door and receiving Optics together.
The optics are technically still operating but as they are pressed up together they are by passing the physical door opening.


Some maintenance functions however require the door to be open so if you use the bypass technique above make sure you do it in a way that you can quickly open the connection.
My preference is to leave the door optics alone.

Can you tell us what you're seeing on the reel glass VFD display and

on the LCD topbox display after turning on the power switch?

It says Maintaince required or attendant required.  When I go into the menu, input test.  The main door and the bill validator door keep going from 1 to 0.  When I looked at the bill door, i noticed that one end (some round looking  piece) was rewired and on the door itself is some kind of roller switch, which isn't even wired at all and i have no idea where the wires are (i havent located them yet).  as for the main door i realigned the optics and got the LCD screen to show the main door is closed but in the input test, main door keeps going from 1 to 0.


If more pics are needed, let me know i can take what you need to see inside the machine.

What does that message change to.....when you OPEN the door?

There are also messages on the left side on the front of the main door.

Record message on door display. Open door. Turn attendant key and record message. Shouldn't have to do this more than 4 times before it displays .. close door.

Usually for home use the two wires (green color?) that goes to the bill validator door switch are usually tied together so it simulates the bill validator door always being closed.

sorry for the late response, I ended up with emergency surgery.  The Main LCD when I close the door, the message doesn't change.  The Main Door msg goes away, that all.


I will go out to the game room today and get the exact messages from the small left screen today.
