NEED HELP GETTING SEQUENCE TO SELF TEST SCREENS

hello i have a igt pe+ slant top video poker when i open my top door my screen says coin door open and goes off when closed when i open it press or press and hold it no beep just goes to input test screen press again ouput test screen instead of using my jackpot rest key to turn and activate outputs i have to press max credits button and it activates my outputs what i cant figure out is after i press self test button again nothing happens i have to switch power on and off then it just goes to game over screen where i started wheres the other self test screens

You're not at a point where you'd have to press and hold the Self Test button. With the door open, press and release the button to access the first page which is Self Test Inputs. Press and release the same button to go to the next page. Continue doing so to go through all of the Self Test screens.

Note that if you have credits on the machine, many of the self test pages relating to hopper and credit limits are removed as you cannot adjust those settings when there are credits on the machine.

You should not have to power cycle the machine to get out of the self test menu. Once you get to the "OUT OF SERVICE" screen, press and release the self test button one more time (and wait about ten seconds) to exit the menu system.

I can only get to the input test menu and output test menu then when I press the button nothing happens

And I'm also lost on when it says to turn my jackpot key to test the input it doesnt work i have to press my bet 5 credits to make the input work I'm also trying to  hase down where a red with orange stripe wire goes coming from the top of the head down by the mou board case its wound up about 2 ft and eas just zip ties there will update a picture later

Welp could not get to other test screens bc the writing was set up wrong on switchs the red change button on top right of machine had extra wire on terminal after unplugging it it worked and some wiring issues with the dbv thanks to all the forms really helped great community thanks to all you guys rock !!!! So explanation as best as I can say to what fixed the problem with just getting 2 screens on the PE+ slant machine when pressing the white self test button.

The black wire with the blue stripe that is supposed to be used as a jumper if credit switches not used...

The wire in question was connected to the NC tab on the CHANGE Switch. We disconnected that wire and the self test switch button worked as it should. He was able to get to all the test screens. Problem fixed.

My PE+ slant did not have that wire connected to the CHANGE switch or the DEAL/DRAW switch for that matter. We did not check to see where the other end of it was or was not connected on his machine. Don't really care at this point as the machine is working almost 100%. He just needs to get the BV working.
