S2000 Wild Cherry .01 credit won't clear

Try as I do she just won't clear. Does the IVC00224 clear chip go bad due to excessive use? Can't get rid of the .01 credit. 1. Turn off, remove base chip. Insert clear chip . Wait for 2 amber lights. 2. Replace base chip. Turn key 4times..... Hear the mantra in my sleep. What am I missing? Besides hair and teeth.

If you're using a 224 I think the top 4 lights come on for a complete ram clear.

2 green 2 amber?

Yes 2 green initially then after a minute or two the first amber then about 30 seconds the second amber.

Thanks, but I need to know what to do when I get the 2 green and 2 ambers, but doesn't clear.

I would try another clear chip. The 224 should clear all if you get those lights. It might be partially corrupt.

Thanks , any recommendations as to where or whom. Preferably not the cheap pins. Big hands and poor board location = my bending the pins.
