hopper payout amount

igt s plus hopper question? I would like to keep it for quarters.  how do i program hopper to pay out just 50 or even 100 quarters. then clear remainder with key. when i get a big payout i sometimes mistakingly hit the payout key and end up throwing quarters in the hopper over and over till it clears.  really tiring.

Lower the hopper limit.  Do you know which SP is in it?  Checkout Rick's FAQ's on home page.

its a sp + as in my question. to be specific a double diamond. my question is and its not being answered is can i set hopper low and then clear the rest with the key!!!!!

You should use a SP1271 chip (on the MPU) to allow what your asking.

You misunderstood. SP is the game chip number on the circuit board. We all know you have a S+. Your above answer was rude. We are not paid to help you. We do it because we love the hobby. Knowing what chip # you have will let us tell you what settings to change.

Thank you "rock" for pointing that out to me. My apologies to the great NLG members who have helped me through the years and have received my heartfelt thanks time and time again. But you know that once in a while i will be asked "Al, did you plug the machine in?" And I will answer "DUH?"  I guess that would be disrespectful and rude too. Still I will just deal with the 3300 code time and time again. Again my heartfelt apologies to this wonderful site.  (Al Rolon 66 year old retired due to stroke 7 years ago. 30 year electronic tech from east harlem NYC.)

You can try turning off dip switches #1 & 2 on mpu board.  Depending on which SP is in machine it will set hopper limit to 300 coins but it will also set credit limit to 300.

Thanks Six, I completely forgot about those dip switches on the MPU. Going to try that out and see if i like it. Also do my homework and find what the others do too. Also need to know how to clear credits with the key. like a hand payout.  thanks again.

Very good. While the board is out, you can see the SP chip. That will tell us if you can change setting 7 for what you want.
