IGT Machine Blue Screen

I have an IGT Fortune II machine that I picked up for $100. The transformer on the MPU tray was blown. I replaced it with an external power supply temporarily to make sure the board works. All I get when powered on is a blue box no words, no sounds, no nothing other than the florescent lights. I know the board is doing something because when I turn off the external board supply I connected, the screen turns white.


Please please please, someone help me out. Seems that the number of people on here that know about these machines is really low. Feel free to email me if need be jadelutis@gmail.com

You can fix almost any electronic device by replacing the aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Member BadBaud does board level repairs. He has a Fortune 1 tester - he may be able to help you.

You won't love this answer, but it fixed itself. I'm not sure what happened but I got a new board and that board worked fine. Then I decided to try my old board again and it started to work. Not sure what ever caused it, but a new board can almost definitely fix it
