Strange Power Issues

Friends machine: Hi, my friend got a new Double Diamond Deluxe slant too IGT S+ machine. The display no longer comes on, reels don’t spin, and button lights remain unlit when powered up. The top box lights come on. Oddly, the Bill validator cycles when powered up.


I suspect that it is a power supply issue. My friend did remove the Bill validator when the power was STILL ON after a bill jammed. He did break a wire connection when he pulled out the Bill validator


Now I suspect a short.


Here’s what we tried with the power OFF:


- Reseat the CPU
-Check for loose connections
-Open and close the main door
