Hey Jonathan; it's Bill...... just curious as why you'd want such an old SG chip ?  I have a Vision machine with about 20 different games .  I use the SG248 's  with a vs009gx0 Version chip .  This setup works for all Vision games and I only need to change the SB chip for a different game....... a few key flicks and hold the white button for a few secs   and I'm done.   Bill

That my friend has a very interesting answer.   I'm trying to put together a Wild Cherry Pie machine.


Here's what I learned:
 
   1. I am using SB00011
   2. When I tried to use SG248 the top box monitor goes through a validation and it fails.   
   3.  When I use SG85 the top box monitor does not go through validation and the game plays.

You're running ATA 45..  that's really old.  You need to use ATA 65 with the 248's and the vs009gx0 version chip ..... also ; why Wild Cherry Pie ??  of all games .  Really boring game IMO... especially compared to Ms. Little Green Men,  Shooting Gallery,  Pinball, Fox n Hound, Pink Panther games, etc.......     Bill

I forgot; you'd also need to update the RFA TO 10025 in the top box.  I'd remove one of the 16 mb boards install a 32 mb board .... then you would have enough memory to play any Vision game.  Again; just my opinion.    Visions weren't in the casinos much as they were quickly swept aside when Barcrest machines came about ( ahhhhh Barcrest... best machines IMO);  but Visions, along with the Williams Dotmations are great because thay are bonus games that you can easily switch out.   I have  a Vision game ,,, Pink Panther (Panther Bucks) that plays the EXACT same as a 5 line Top Dollar.... with the 4 offers; etc....  and can switch the game to a Ms. LGM in about 5 minutes.   Visions are great but very underrated IMO.....  Bill
