IGT S Plus No Sounds

I'm new to slot machines and this is my first post. I've had pinball machines for over 20 years, slots are completely new to me.

I have an IGT S+ slant top double diamond slot that I picked up non working, everything now working like it should except the sound. This is a 10mhz board, the game is running SP731 game software. The sound test (50) does not produce any sounds at all. The speaker is working (checked in video poker), all wires connected, etc.

I'm thinking that I should rebuild the sound section of the board to include volume control, LM388 and capacitors. Does this sound like I'm on the right track, if so where would I be able to get the components? Are there any other things I should try before I start changing components?

There is a volume knob/disc on top of board going thru the mpu tray, its blue.

I should have mentioned the volume knob, I went fully right and left a few times and it's in the middle now and didn't help.

Replacing C43 next to the dip switches fixed my no sound problem.  Hope it helps

I wanted to close this out, my sound issue was resolved by changing the C43 capacitor.  Thank you for the suggestion!
