Ticket Vouchers not accepted

Game King 044 - Super Star Poker (GK003319) - Bettor TITO - WBA-12/13 024 (V3.80-34)

1. Bills are accepted just fine.
2. Tickets get pulled in and are ejected back out, not accepted.
3. Bettor TITO app controls the game fine, including adding bonus credits.

I understand that the process for tickets and bills are two different things as far as the WBA is concerned. I did pull it out and swabbed the sensors with mild detergent. No change. Everything was pretty clean, anyway.

I am not sure how to troubleshoot this. It used to work, although somtimes tickets would have to be retried several times. I don't think I changed anything in the setup, but I cannot completely rule that out.

Suggestions are welcome!

You probably need to calibrate it, that is usually the problem with wba's and tickets.

I had the exact same problem  (same machine, same WBA, and same TITO) it would read bills 100% but tickets I would have to feed 6 or 7 times to work. Your correct the bill portion is a simpler compare function where TITO actually has to read and interpret the ticket. As the DBV become more worn they become less effective at this. You can try calibrating. Unfortunately, calibrating strips are no longer available (when you find them they're crazy expensive for a piece of paper) but thanks to one of the members here you can make your own for next to nothing. If the printing on your tickets is clear and you can't get the ticket to read with reapeted inserts of the ticket I doubt calibration will work. It marginally helped mine it went from 6-7 attempts to 4-5 attempts to read a ticket. I needed to replace the head on my DBV and that solved the problem.
Here's hoping calibration works for your DBV if not it's still an affordable fix and you'll be good to go.

I created a short Postscript file to try to create my own calibration paper, according to the dimensions you provided and ink jet printed it out. Since the vouchers have black hash marks on the back, I figured I'd need to color the black part on both sides of the paper. So, I took a sharpie pen and pretty well saturated the black area, so it was dark black on both sides. I was able to get a successful calibration response (quick flashes) and it does now accept the vouchers again. At least sometimes it does. I also had gotten an 11 code (Black Level Error), so at that point I just added more black ink.

One other thing you can do to improve your acceptance rate is to change the rubber O rings that pull the tickets/bill into the validator.  Over time these dry out and don't grab the paper as well causing un-even pulling and messing up the bar code reading procedure.  You can find the O rings at home depot.  I don't remember the exact size, but you can just pull one out of the validator.
