Igt S2000 upright eeprom error code

Hi guys ....I used to have s+ machines now I have s2000 machines...on my igt 3x4x5 machine it came with an enhanced boards...I changed out the boards to reg s2000 boards...1952-2 this board was not tested by the guy who swapped boards for me....I bought a backplane board to match up sockets...when I try and clear it with 97 chip it only lights up one amber light...then when I put game chip (sb101140)it goes to testing memory and and then checking netplex devices and then alarm goes off and it reads eeprom error,turn key eeprom error -0x4turn key,then some critical data might be lost....turn key again and then it goes back to testing memory and does same thing all over....bad eeprom chip on mother board backplane? appreciate it

Your EEPROM IC (U2) on the motherboard (backplane) is installed backwards.  Remove it and rotate it 180 degrees.  That will probably fix your problem.  If it remains your EEPROM probably was damaged from being installed backwards and will need to be replaced.

I'm a little curious as to why you got rid of the enhanced board in the first place?

the guy I originally had bought my s+ machines from had told me the enhanced boards were a lot of problems and I was having battery issuses with that board anyways so I exchanged it out

So I change the board software into my working s2000 board and I get it to setup mode...but now I have door close M and game mismatch ...tryed clearing it with key but won't go away...geez almost there

have any red lights flashing on your board? if so check for a bent leg on a chip , how many chips did you move to the old board? 4 or 5?

no red flashing light...I changed over 5 eeproms to my other s2000 board...but I did not change the sound board simm ....could that give a mismatch error?

Yes, if it is not meant for the game, you will get a mismatch.  If you remove the simm, it should work though.
