Hello All,

I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with my Bally Pro-Slot 6000 Machine. I acquired this machine as-is (previous owner to that essentially left when house was foreclosed), and I have since replaced the battery and installed clear chips, but I cannot get the LED Panel with Win Paid, Credit, and Credit In to display anything when trying to perform a reset. Reels work when the machine turns on, and it goes through the Bally introduction voice, but beyond that, I cannot get anything to work. Any ideas? Machine appears to be in very good shape.

Does anyone happen to have a picture or relative location of the current power supply within the machine? I want to make sure that Iâ€™m swapping out the correct part.

The power supply is mounted on the back wall of the lower cabinet almost center. It's roughly 5x7, silver, has 3 harness plugs at the top, and the power cord plugs into the top right side.

Power supplies are usually pretty easy to test. I'm sure someone here has the pin-out information, it could even be printed on the power supply. Good luck.

Thanks! Definitely found the power supply but how do I get into the silver box to swap out the new power supply board?

Disconnect the harnesses that plug into it. Loosen the nuts on each side . Lift up and pull out. The back side is open and you will find the PS board inside. 4 screws hold it in place. unplug harnesses to the PS board. Install new PS board.

Thanks everyone for the advice about replacing the board. It worked perfectly! However, I still cannot get anything to display in the Win Paid, Credit, or Credit In displays. Battery has been replaced and now the power board. Any other ideas as to what could be the cause of what could be preventing the display from working?

The MPU are hard to seat . Make sure its into the plastic guides properly inside the MPU holder. There is a guide on each side. The MPU tray edges have to go into the plastic guide grooves. Make sure the MPU is pushed in all the way in as it is hard seating. It does take a little force.

You also say you installed clear chips. Are they in the sockets properly? No bent pins? Not reversed? Are you seeing a flashing red light on the front of the MPU? Can you post a picture of your MPU?

Make sure the two RAM chips are getting the battery voltage.

Ok! So thanks for the advice about pushing the MPU board in more. I definitely didnâ€™t have it pushed in. But that still didnâ€™t solve the issue. No bent pins, but I think there is power going to the ram chips. The traces near the battery work. Is there a specific way and/or area I should test near the RAM chips? If they are u39 and u45, there is power there.

Picture posted. No red light on board, but there is a flashing red light near the rear of the machine behind the reels.

With the RAM chip notch facing away from you - black lead on lower left pin, red lead on upper right pin.
Read DC voltage on each RAM chip. It should be your battery voltage minus about .4 Volts DC.

So Iâ€™m getting about 2.7, which is 0.9 less than the battery.

Try reinstalling the original mains into there sockets and insert the board and see if the display comes up

Just reinstalled the two chips and still no display coming up on the screen. How does that display receive power?

Maybe it's time you send your board to my shop so I can put it on my Bally S6000 board tester and scope out what is wrong and fix it?
