IGT S+ Slot Machine Making Buzzing and Clicking Noise At Coin Comparator

I recently purchased two IGT S+ slot machines a few months ago from a neighbor who moved away. One of them has been working fine but only recently it has started making a vibrating noise or a clicking sound just below or behind where you put the token in. I located what looks like a coil and if I touch it I can feel it vibrating or clicking. Also if I tap on it the issue will stop but then start again. I would be so grateful if anyone can offer any advice as to what they think could be causing the problem. I recorded a video that shows it happening and put it on Youtube. Here is the link. (((( Update:)))) I disconnected the plug with 2 gray wires that go into a plug in the comparator. After doing this the buzzing and clicking noise went away but now coins no longer go into the hopper and go into the tray. Also I noticed that the coil does not have a spring on it. I'm not sure how it came off if it did have one. Does anyone know what could be the issue. Is the comparator bad or just the coil? Can I leave the gray wires disconnected and if so then how can I get coins to go into the hopper.

Lastest Update: I installed new comparitor and the problem is fixed. Thanks to all for helping me with this issue.

It's a diverter solenoid that sends coins down to slot stand when the hopper gets full.   Easiest thing to do is just unplug the diverter solenoid at the connector by the coin comparitor. 

BTW.  Please don't make the same post to multiple topics.  S+ was the proper forum topic for your question.  It gets confusing when you get multiple threads going and doesn't make the mods real happy either.

If you do post in the wrong section we can move the post around, no biggie, but it does drive us nuts when someone posts the same question in multiple spots and worse when you start getting replies in multiple spots and we start having to split and stich threads together.....

To Tilts point the coils do tend to get burnt out as they are held back when the machine is ready to accept coins and release when its necessary to reject. So basically if the machine is on and awaiting coins that solenoid is powered up. It really should be the other way around, as its a waste of energy. I guess its faster for a spring to pull back the diverter quickly than to get a fast solenoid. Anyways - many people disconnect them and wire tie the diverter in place.
