bill validator no light

5 reel triple lucky seven bill validator cycles but does not light or accept bills. Now what it did work b4 displays netplex down fixed with new power supply replacement  But now dont take the dough!

You and I have been going through the same stuff, I can offer some of the suggestions that have been told to me.

You can try and run the auto config in the settings menu.
Are your LEDs lit by the dip switches?

So since my first post and no response for a couple days  . I thought that while messing with prior issue maybe I mix some connector up so now green light in door is lit and goes bright  to dark in middle pulse and the 5 looks orange but still will not take bills ......seen your post and tried test and it took money  but when I shut it down and put dip switches back  it will not accept bills again.

Press spin reels 2x (Auto configure in progress) - Do you see your validator listed? If you do and keep in mind this is where I am stuck, your validator should be working. Bad Transport???
Need a clear chip to reprogram?

I believe The leds should be on, not positive since mine is dead. Hopefully somebody with some experience will chime in here soon.

Don't use a clear chip unless you're very experienced or someone who is asks you to.  It will usually create many more problems for you and solve none.  The only time you normally ever need to run a clear on an S2000 is to make changes to the accounting denomination.  A lot of people think it will magically clear machine errors, so they run it and it doesn't fix it.   When do resolve the error they show up here with things like "I have a cabinet type unknown error", or  "I'm stuck at WAMM or IPC and can't change it" or my machine used to take coins to credit, but now they fall through to the try..why? I hit the cash out button and got a coin out jam error, I don't have a hopper installed etc etc. 

On a WBA acceptor two red LEDs are normally lit by the DIP switches. 

Are the bezel leds illuminated when you try to feed it a bill?  If not, (assuming the lamps work) the validator isn't enabled.  It could be disabled in the machine settings, or has some other problem preventing it from enabling.  When you did the Netplex autoconfig did the validator cycle?

I actually found my problem trying to help  jerzeehamco with his problem. ( will explain in my thread) Thanks tilt for explaining the clear chip, as I said I am a newbie just trying to help.  Only thing I know to add to what tilt said is did you return all your dip switches to the up position after you tested it? I have a PE+ that had a issue with it spitting out bills turned out to be a bad transport, but that was a DVB 145 not a WBA.

I like to see new members helping out other new members with what they've learned as you have.  That is what makes this place so great, sharing knowledge.  Just be careful with those clear chips if you own one!

I did return dip switches and as I said it worked for test but when fliped back does not take the bill. the light in door (bezel)  is on and lights from ends to middle and the 5 dollar bill pic is lit orange

After the auto config and you exit the menu what dose it say? play 2 credits? Now that mine is going I can tell you after I did the auto config and exited the menu I closed the door and the machine cycled and I was able to insert a 20.00.

Last thing I can think of for tonight, It's a grasp a straws, but open and close the door several times and see if that clears it off, try the jackpot reset key. Last thing post a picture of what exactly the displays are showing.

Here’s another grasp at straws...Do you have credits on the machine? If you’ve reach your limit it will stop taking bills.
