Igt s2000 new 502 board/BV not working

Hey guys, I got a new 502 board due to my old one not working. I had swapped over the chips to the new one. Slot machine boots up and so does the BV. Just BV doesn’t light up. I’m wondering if I need a clear chip to set the denominations or it does it automatically. I’ve checked a different cashcan that work and nothing. Checked the menu and the BV is enabled and I’ve done the BV test but nothing happens. Done the netplex auto-configure & it says “not responding”.
Done the 1-2-3 & 8 pin on the BV & it cycles, but doesn’t take the dollar bill. Idk it I need a new head unit or BV or clear chip. Oh I don’t know if the BV has ever worked in the past either. What are your thoughts & thank you and happy holidays!!

Did you try reseating the BV? I think you just have to pull that metal latch part it should just slide out.

Edit: I think you have it pulled out in the second photo? It’s hard to tell since I’m not looking at a BV in front of me.

I have had 2 MPU boards that worked fine other than the BV would not work. Tried another MPU and the BV worked. There is a component possibly on the board that went bad. Hopefully that is not your case. Could be a possibility.

Board is working perfectly good. Bought it from a trusted seller.

Personally, I'd replace it with a WBA 12/13.  Your bill validator is older and the firmware won't take many of the new bills even if it did work.  You'll need to replace the wiring harness on the back of the validator housing to upgrade it, but that's easy to do.

Speaking of wiring.  Have you made sure the wiring is properly connected on the rear of the validator housing?  Three of the four connectors should be connected to the machine's wiring.

Igt S2000 I’m having my bv not working good mpu board reset 97 17 and light in front of bill does not come on it winds on start up but that’s it. Many help would be great
