I am stumped.
I have a Game King machine. I had it set up and working just fine. Then, someone hit the cash out button which sent the machine into some bonkers mode. I used my Key22 chip and cleared everything and went back in and set up all the games, etc. Now, the BV pulls in a bill, cycles for a few seconds, the rejects the bill. The diagnostics test reads all the bills from $1-20$ correctly but I cannot get the machine to accept any bills to add credits to the machine. Also, ever since the cash out button was pressed, the red candle blinks and will not stop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Where do I find the credit limits? I have a KEY17 and a KEY22 chip. Also, the machine has zero credits on it now.

Do NOT key to raise credit limit. Just go into setup with zero credits and look around you will find it.

Check both the credit & BV limits.

The BV limit is maxed at $3000. The other limits are set to $5000

You have a different problem then limits.

If it lights up and draws bills in it may need the sensors cleaned inside the head. Do not use alcohol on them. The BV will NOT light up past limits.

I'll clean the BV head but when I run the diagnostic for the BV it reads all bills up to and including $20.

Post a pic of your machine and the MPU board so we can read the number on your game chips. Next time don't clear the entire thing, a RAM clear would have cleared the credit issue and restored most of your setting from EEPROM when it booted back up. Since you cleared that too everything is at default.

Thank you for letting me know not to clear everything in the future. Any guidance on setting up from scratch would be a tremendous help. I have uploaded several pictures below. Thanks!

Thanks. You have GK4.3. I loaded the same set on my machine, cleared everything and in the keychip menu set the coin/hopper denomination to 5c and exited the menu. After it rebooted the bill validator worked as it should. So it will work with default values. Try clearing the whole thing again, only set the coin/hopper denomination and see if it works.

It still takes a bill in, but spits it back out? What did you set the denomination to?

I set it to 5 cents. And, FYI, when I run the diagnostic for the BV, it reads all the bills and stacks them. I also cleaned the BV head.

After I cleared everything with the KEY22 I did need to enable the bill validator and disable the hopper and printer since I do not have those.

Have you tried a different BV?
