Error: Door open MB Bill stacker open

Hi
Any idea what causes this error, Door open MB Bill stacker open, and how to fix it? I had it come up on a denver duck that was running fine when it was turned off. When I turned it back on, this came up & I couldn't clear it. I got it running by putting another CPU in it. Now today, I have a Double Diamond that was turned on, running fine, sat idle for about an hour, and now has the same error??? Green batteries were removed from both boards. Strange how machine is working fine then just sitting idle, comes up with this error, no one opened the door or the cash can.

I would think a bad wire/connection would be most likely.

You can fix almost any electronic device by replacing the aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

When you removed the Varta battery did you neutralize the board surface with a vinegar and water solution?
If not the alkali continues to eat the traces even with the machine turned off. That's why a replacement fixed the Duck and you are probably headed down  the same road for this one.
