Wire identification help

Ok, IGT I-Game unit.  In the right rear corner of the machine on the floor are a pair of wires with female spade connectors on it, same spades they use on the attendant switch.  The wires are a black one and a black/red one.  I cannot find this pair of wires on the schematics to figure out what it does.

I know on my AVP there was a pair of wires just like this (different colors though) that were ziptied out of the way in the machine.  On that machines these wires were a jackpot reset switch (after changing some settings can put handpay jackpots to credits with it).

Any idea what this pair of wires are for? 

If I don't get an answer this weekend I will trace them back to where they come from to figure it out.

Can you post pics of the wires?  Sounds like they may be leftover from the player tracking system.

Here they are.  They were zip tied in the lower right corner.

One wire is black w/red stripe, and the other is solid black...correct?

If you put a multimeter on it and detect 12Vdc and it switches on/off when you depress the cherry switch, then that's the wiring for the service lamp power?

There's a wiring schematic in the NLG File System under "IGT">>>"Game King">>>"17" GK+/Igame+ Wiring/Schematic Diagrams".

I don't have time but look around page. 39 of 80 on those .pdf sheets

Disregard all I mentioned above...I just looked at the wiring schematic sheets.

See page .62 of 80 in the .pdf sheets Tilt posted....those wires you're talking about are for a pull handle but you don't need to use them unless you want to add one to your cabinet.

They aren't player tracking leftovers.  I took a look at my cabinet and zip tied up in the rear right hand corner was the same set of wires that I'd never noticed before.  So I dug out the wiring diagrams and started looking around when I finally found it.  They're optional wires that would go to a pull handle on the side of the cabinet.  Some of these cabinets were used as 3 reel video slots and had a pull arm on the side like a regular spinning reel slot machine.  They used the same wiring harnesses in both, but since it wasn't needed in the GK/I-game configuration they just zipped tied them up.  Here's a wiring diagram that shows the switch.

Just noticed one of my GK machines has those two wires taped together like a door switch bypass.

My first thoughts were wires for a second reset switch (jackpot to credit), but the wire colors didn't match.

When I found them I was hoping it was this but was able to find the jackpot reset wire diagram and the colors didn't match.

Thanks for solving the mystery for us.  A pull handle I will never install but if I can remove the pin that wire goes to I may repurpose it as a jackpot to credits toggle.

There's a pinned post on adding one.  You may have already seen it?  It's a simple mod.  Probably the most difficult thing is getting a pin and wire in the right place on the cabinet I/O connector.
