BB2 (BB1.5) stuck on Out of Service Started / Can't Load...

Hey guys. I sold my beloved BB1.5 to a guy and he caught on right away and was clearing it and changing out his games on the first night, with no problems. At the end of day 2 he got stuck on Call Attendant and when he hit the diagnostic button it said "Out of Service Started" (see picture). I think, (I hope), the Top Box Error is just due to him not "disabling the top box" on Ruby Red, but I didn't ask what game he was loading. He said a new clear didn't work, it just did the same thing. He said none of his games will load now.

Did he accidently hit an "Out of Service" tab? ...or in any case. How can we put it back in service? I'm guessing that's the main problem.

On my BB2 I found an Out of Service button but I'm afraid to hit the set button to see what happens...sorry if I'm asking an obvious question. Trying to troubleshoot remotely.

We got it. That's what I had suggested (clear it), but he said he had done that. I don't think he did. It was late at night. By morning he had it all sorted out. I stopped by today to show him how to disable the top box for Ruby Red Slippers, and he's all fixed up.
