IGT GAME KING CRT MONITOR TAKES 5 MINUTES TO WARM UP.

Hi,
I have a IGT Game King that has been very reliable for me for the last 3 years.  Well this morning I went to turn on my Game King and I could barley see the screen, but has I waited a few minutes the monitor came to life and works great.  My question is if the monitor is on its way out and also  can I place it with another one or an LCD.
I'm not good with fixing or troubleshooting monitors, but I did notice that this current monitor is in a chassis that slide in and clips to a harness in the rear. I would like to replace it or have it fix, but don't know where to go.
Any help on this I would truly appreciate it.

Yes you can replace that 17" CRT with a 17" LCD.  It will slide in just the same.  You need to look and see if you need a 19 or 25 pin monitor. (count the holes not the pins where the monitor slides into the machine) You will also need a 17" LCD flat bezel.

Thanks sixcardmark for the quick response.  I took a picture of the plug on the back and included it with this post.  It looks like there's 25 pin plug.  Can you direct me in where to purchase the LCD and bezel and also does the new LCD comes in the metal frame that the CRT is in.  Also the bezel i'm gong need does it just cover over the old one or is it something different.

You need a 25 pin monitor.  Yes they come with slide in frame.  You have to remove the CRT bezel and replace it with LCD bezel. So you know- right now the 17" LCDs are NOT cheap.

Thanks for the links.  When I purchase the monitor will it still have touch screen and also do I just slide out the old monitor and slide I the new LCD and turn it on or do I need to do something else.

Yep. Just have to swap bezels.  You may need to adjust the shelf it slides in on so the door closes without crushing the monitor or leave a gap.  Look under the monitor shelf you will see adjust screws.  If you are out west Ceronix may be cheaper.

I didn't realize how pricey these LCD monitors are.  On both sites do you know of they are brand new and also do either of the sites do a Black Friday sale or discount.
