Help Identifying game and options

I just picked this machine up cheap...owner said it needed a battery...
I got it home, turned the key 4 times and pressed the white button
on the MPU and fired right up...Everything appears to working correctly
Could anyone help me identify this machine?
It appears to be a cross between an S+ and an S2000
Other questions...
What MPU is it and what clear/key chips do I need?
What is the card reader, 12 button bank and red display above the reel glass?
Can they be removed to install a printer?
If yes, what printer do I need?
There are two transformers plugged into a short extension cord in the bottom cabinet...are those jerry rigged or standard?
There is a sticker on the machine that says DO NOT PRESS CASHOUT!!!
The switch and bulb were laying in the bottom of cabinet, I reinstalled it to be able to go through menu options and it works as it should but I haven't attempted to do a cashout as there is no coin comparator, hopper or printer...
I would like to install a printer and TITO board if possible...What are my printer and TITO options?
Any help would be awesome as I am brand new to this fascinating hobby...

What you have is an early S2000 machine with thin hidden vision type speakers. Your MPU looks like a 502. The part number will be in the upper right corner of the photo, probably on one of those two white labels. (Example: 75510502)

Your machine is currently running an S+ game, therefore it will lack printing capability. You can easily change it to an S2000 game which will enable printing, but due to the space this speaker type takes up in the top box, there is no place to mount a printer. I have a similar machine which was running an S+ game when I got it, but I changed to an S2000 game and mounted my printer externally in the slot stand. I also installed TITO. I just have to open the door of the stand to retrieve the ticket.

You can easily switch to an S2000 game if you wish. Just get rid of the SB001000 and SS 4860 chips and install an SB100163. This is the S2000 version for your game. I'm not sure it matches your existing reel strips and award glass, but it probably does.

A 31 key chip should work. I'm not sure about the clear chip. I have six of these S2000 machines and have never had to clear one. There's only a few circumstances where clearing is really necessary.

The card reader or player tracking can be removed. It's useless for a home machine.

I have no idea what those power supplies are for in the bottom cabinet. What voltages are they ?  Where do the output wires go?

I have Future Logic Gen2 Netplex printers in all my S2000 machines. I've never had a problem with them.

Any idea what will happen if I attempt to "cash out" with the machine setup the way it is now? The label that states in big bold letters "DO NOT PRESS CASH OUT" has stopped me from trying it...

Is there any way I can replace those speakers with a pair of S2000 batwing speakers to make room for a printer?

To remove the display, 12 button array and card reader is it as simple as just disconnecting them?

I'm not sure what those transformers are for or the voltages but I will look later today and also see what they are powering...they didn't look stock to me...

If machine is setup correctly a cashout will go to handpay.  If it is not setup right you will get a coin out jam and machine will have to be cleared.

I need to make a correction to my prior message. A printer will function in an S2000 running an S+ game. I was incorrect. Thanks sixcardmark for that information.

If you install a printer you will need to replace the long player tracking bracket and panel and install the short player tracking bracket/panel or the top glass will not fit.  I have never tried to install normal speakers on a machine with the vision speakers, so I don't know how that will work out.

If memory serves the opening is different for the recessed speakers than the dog ear speakers. So no I don't believe you can just throw a set of speakers in there. Also if you install a printer in the top of the machine you will need to remove one of the speakers to do so.

How do I know if it is setup correctly for handpay?
When you say the machine will need to be "cleared" are you referring to having to use a clear chip or just using the jackpot key to reset the machine?

Make sure hopper limit is set to zero or you will need a clear chip.  Handpay you just turn J/P key to clear.

OK her is some more info on this Frankenstein machine

The transformer on the left is a 6v output and it feeds this small shrinkwrapped pc board hanging in the top left of the machine pic #1
the only 2 wires coming out of it are a ground connected to the back of the cabinet and a single red wire that goes back down to the hopper connector mounted on the floor...

The transformer on the right is a 9v output and feeds the circuit board Pic #2 located in the right rear corner of the bottom cabinet....it appears to be velcro holding it in place....it has one ribbon cable coming out of it that feeds a board pic #3 located in the center of the upper cabinet that feeds the player display, 12 button bank and card reader...


The MPU is 75510501 Rev A

I unplugged the two jerry rigged transformers and the only difference now is that the player board is non functional and Im fine with that...
Again this machine has no coin mechanism, hopper or printer...and Im ok with that for now

I would be happy if I could use the cashout button to handpay but have no idea how to set that up...
Is that doable in the menu options or do I need a key chip to configure it?

With no credits on machine push the white test button and go to options 3 / 3.1.1 /  3.1.4 make sure hopper limit is 00000000 then go to keychip menu 7.2 make sure 7.2.2 / 7.2.2.1 printer is not enabled.  You will need a keychip to disable printer if it is enabled.

I went through the menu options and when I attempt to go to set the hopper limit I get "field locked in coinless mode"
Printer is set at disabled

I never use coinless mode but I would think if in coinless mode and printer disabled a cashout would go to handpay.  Maybe someone else will have a say.

You can work past that field locked in coinless mode. If memory serves when you get to that point just push the cash out button and you can still change the fields

RB...
I attempted to disable token payout 7.1.7.2 and it gives me no option to do that...
It also won't let me get past the "field locked in coinless mode" to change the limits by pressing the cash out button as suggested...
I'm still afraid to hit the cash out button and am thinking it might be better to do a keychip and disable the coinless mode...

What do you think
