WTS - Alpha 1ghz 'PARTS' MPU

Have this 1gig MPU with Bios, Jurisdiction, and Video card. Everything works (Vid card tested, power supply tested, fans, etc) except when this board is turned ON it has a long single beep and then sits idle.., never boots.

I am looking to get $1,000,000 for this, but will happily accept any offers for the whole box (as-is) or parts off of it (tested working). Shipping will be actual and figured once I know what parts are wanted.

For the record, a single beep and nothing else means failed ram refresh.  Since the ram is surface mount on this mpu, it can be fixed, but you need to be able to remove and install surface mount ram chips.

I wouldn't know where to begin with the ram parts needed. Have you done that before or know where to get it/them?


I have another 1gig (same as the one pictured) that boots some of the time (no beeps). Like it could take turning it on 50 times before it boots. I have gone through 4 1gigs in the past month and have started to get nauseous looking at them sitting here.. Only have had 1 512 take a dump, and that was due to a guy that had his whole gameroom/bar powered off of 6 extension cords running from a single outlet with an open ground.

They are just ram chips.  Need to look at the part number, mouser probably has them. Or you could buy a 1GB simm of the same type of memory harvest.

I tried a few different BIOS and if I run a AVBBP26S1GHZ-03 or AVBBP26S300M-03 the long beeeeeeeeeeeep goes away.. The MPU still does nothing when turned on though. - I have tried 336 OS and 323 OS but that doesn't matter seeing it doesn't even boot up the BIOS..


Question..


Does anyone have a 203604 - 00002 REV A MPU that can tell me what BIOS and OS they are running successfully?


I was soooooo close to handing out MPU's during trick-or-treat yesterday, just to rid of them..

My 1ghz is running the AVBBP26S1GHZ-03 bios with the 2gb 336os card. My MPU # is 203213 rev B. Not exactly what you were looking for but maybe that helps some.

Thanks. I did try that BIOS and OS but still get a blank screen. I may try a sledge hammer on the next BIOS swap.


If anyone needs any parts off of these let me know. Power supplies, vid cards, Jurisdiction all good. Or maybe someone can fix them.. I have 2 of the exact boards as posted up top.
