OK here we go again, I just can't stay out of trouble.!
Make: Bally slot machine
Model: 831-4Z
Serial number: TL-8493
Year of manufacture: 08-26-76
Denomination: 25¢
I couldn't pass this up, A old lady has a huge playroom in her basement, a coin operated pool table, the bar is exactly like the ones from the 1950's, all stocked, a sitting area with book cases. And one Bally slot machine 831-4Z which I grabbed.

Here is the issue, the #3 is correct stamped, #1,#2 are not correct. I don't think that's a major issue. I need to start researching the reels.

p-584-[70, 72, 73] are correct.

the stamping may be those numbers (_/- dashes and the p), the code for a game the index discs were used on - e.g. 3LM-L-[1, 2A, 3B] - or rarely the game model number like you have.

the bottom glass was probaly not what originally shipped in the machine. The 4Z was a generic bally game, so it had a generic bally glass. Lucky you, since the bally glass is kinda boring.

So the reels are 100% correct. One less issue I need to deal with, on to the belly glass.

:yes:That's basically the overview of the slot machine, next is pulling down the hopper in detail, reel assembly, upper assembly, door assembly, cabinet assembly. It will be cleaning each part, removing the crud, wires, switches, coils, etc.

This should more enjoyable to restore since the slot machine is complete, and the parts are original to the model number.

For the life of me I didn't think this was a casino slot machine, I actually thought it was a aftermarket belly glass. In doing the research on the Summa label this is where it came together.

Taking things apart.
The fuse paper has from left to right: 6 volts 8 amps, 50 volts 5 amps, line volt 8 amp.
What I see is that someone changed the fuse sizes, I think it's most important to stick with the factory fuse.
